Every now and then, we see some insightful and creative designs related to technology and automobiles from around the world, which undeniably seek to make the world a better place to live in than it had been ever before. Very rarely do we see something that is designed for agriculturists alone, something that makes their job easier on day-to-day basis. We came across one such design by Laura Morales Sordo from London, what she calls as “Motocultor Concept”. It looks like a three-wheeler tractor at the first sight, but is much more dextrous and can mechanize a number of processes for farmers from furrowing to harvesting. Did you just say innovative? Yes, it is innovative. Read on to know more about it.
Design Inspiration
A large number of agriculturists around the world still work with their hands using outdated tools in farming. It is affordable, easy to maintain and multi-purpose machinery such as Motocultor that can help farmers get more out of less manual work.
The technology
Motocultor hides most of its tools inside the chassis which are activated through the dashboard. The tools are especially useful in operating multiple rows simultaneously while answering agricultural chores like furrowing, weeding, fertilizing and harvesting. The machinery is specifically useful for replacing manual work required in the case of crop that includes onions, chives, carrots, beets etc. Well, you can use the Motocultor to cultivate any crops you feel like; however, for doing so, you need be quite conversant with the mechanism it runs on.
What makes it different?
There have been similar designs in the past but Motocultor is more lightweight and versatile. This translates to easier maintenance and cleaning of machinery. The tools it boards are isolated from each other and protrude from within the chassis only when required. As mentioned above, the neat-looking design shows a number of different tools attached to the machinery that can help in harvesting, ploughing, reaping and seeding.
